Outstanding questions
- Number of subcamps between 92 and ~ 100: "Der ITS-Jahresbericht 1971 nennt für die KL folgende Zahlen von Außenkommandos: Dachau 171, Buchen-wald 134, Groß-Rosen 94, Flossenbürg 92, Stutthof 74 sowie Neuengamme 69. Damit war Flossenbürg hin-sichtlich der Zahl seiner Außenkommandos das viertgrößte KL des Reiches. Neuere Nachforschungen des ITS lassen vermuten, daß es sogar rd. 100 Flossenbürger Außenlager gegeben hat, wobei allerdings die Unterschei-dung zwischen »selbständigen« Außenlagern und von diesen z.T. wiederum errichteten zeitweiligen Außen-kommandos (der ITS nennt sie »Unterkommandos«) nicht immer exakt zu treffen ist."[2]
